Xmas Challenge - Ali Crafts

For December Challenge at Ali-Crafts the theme is Christmas I decided to do a box for it in the traditional
colours.
I started with
   

Then painted it red I used Tim Holtz distress paints barn door

I went over lightly with brushed pewter metallic distress  paint around the front and side of box.

I then cut some of Tim's papers to fit into the squares which I edged with walnut stain  distress inks.I also cut 2 squares which I crossed diagonal to make 4 corners for box

I also swiped over papers with picket fence distress stain to make the paper a bit muted.

Using some of Tim's Xmas stamps I stamped randomly around frame attach the 4 corners and then attach a metal corner.

Embellishments used came from a sugarcraft shop and the fluffy snow was a cobweb I had for Halloween.stockings I made myself using felt.filled a little bottle with glitter and then labels as fairy dust.Die cut out  2 reindeer using Tim's die put one inside the box and one on the outside.

Tripled embossed a bauble die then using comic shimmer pva do dots across to make a pattern tie a bow around the top.

The finished inside and complete box I have left some space  I know I have some decs in the loft so they will be added later.

Journal page

A journal page I have done for a challenge at art*journal*journey  the theme being light and dark also a challenge at sunday stampers the theme being numbers .I started the page by using orange,yellow and red acrylic paint.Stamps used are Tim Holtz and creative expressions can't remember what the flowers  stamp is.

A couple of birthday cards.

A couple of cards I have made for 2 of my grandaughters  Bobby and Tegan, I am loving the alphabet stamps which are artistic stamper.I have not been good keeping up with my blog life is rather hetic at mo.

Doors

I have done this page for a challenge at Art*Journal*Journey the theme being doors.  I had done the background a little while ago and it did start with me cleaning some stencils on it I then just put some acrylic paint on randomly. The door is just brown card which I put in a wood effect embossing folder cut out a square big enough for a piece of fragment. Stamps used were Artistic Stamper and IndigoBlu For.my front door I used stencils with Blk Gesso.

Some Xmas Cards

At last have managed to do  some Christmas cards I had decided not to send any this year but now I have started I will see how many more I can do.

White on White

The challenge over at Ali-Crafts for Nov is white on white so I have made a tag

I started with a tag of a white pearlescent card

 Tim Holtz tailor's dummy

 And some lace ribbon

I then stamped some swirls in opposite corners of tag emboss with white embossing powder.

and the word dream and its definition I also did the word inspire lower down tag.Put a piece of white lace down the right hand side.

Did the same on the dummy and added a flower I also embossed the top and stem of dummy and the scratch some of it away just for a more distress look and some lace around the waist.

Attach the dummy using silicone glue added some card candy and a Tim die butterfly which I tripled embossed with clear powder then to finish off added some dots of cosmic shimmer glue along the stand of dummy and middle of butterfly.

A couple of Anniversary Cards

A couple of Anniversary cards the top one is for my son Mark and wife Ashlie and bottom one for some good friends Sue and Pete.
