Journal Page

A journal page for a couple of challenges first at Sunday Stampers  the theme being dream and the
 A vintage Journey  the theme being say it with words. Background is done using distress paints I then used some of Tim's stencils and then his stamps along with paperartsy and visible image. I must say I am not too impressed with this page but can't say why I  any tips please.

Spring

The new challenge over at Ali-Craft  is spring so I have done a hanging.I started off with this

 A blank Canvas and DI inks

Coloured the canvas using all 3 colours and allow to dry.I then stamped and cut out some flowers I then stamped randomly some of Tim Holtz stamps and I used the faded dots stencil and used Paperartsy  grunge paste

coloured them glue  together and dip in the melting pot add gem in middle

 butterfly came from the MDF man I used a small one covered in Tim Holtz papers inked sray with perfect pearls and allow to dry add some stamping

add a key for it's body and bend some metal for antennas.The sentiment is a Paperartsy stamp which I stamped on tissue paper and the using multi medium put on canvas.Stamp and cut out letters to spell spring and attach at different angles.Thread yellow ribbon at the top so you can hang it up.

Sewing

A tag I made for a challenge at Sunday Stampers  the theme being stitches/sewing   I started with a white tag which I coloured using DI shaded lilac and mustard seed I then put some droplets of water so they were some splodges.Stamps used are Tim Holtz and Andy Skinner mannekin is craftwork cards and paper is graphic45  embellishment are things I collected along the way.

Queen

A tag for a challenge over at Tag Along  the theme being Kings or Queens or both I brought this set of Paperartsy a little while ago and hadn't got around to using it.I coloured the background with DI then stamped the queen in the middle I then made a mask of her so I could put words behind her then with a dotty stamp went around the edge of her in blue when I took mask off she didn't stand out like I wanted so went around her again with mustard seed distress paint to make her stand out I then messed up with colouring so ended up stamping her again cutting her out and attaching to tag.Various words and sayings were added and a metal flower in the corner.

Mum's Birthday Card

This is my Mum's birthday card I made and I am pleased to say she loved it.

A Vintage Journey

There is a new challenge blog starting it is called A Vintage Journey the theme for the 1st challenge is anything goes as long as it it Tim Holtz based.I started with a Tim tag size 12 which I folded in half to make a tag card using DI worn lipstick,peacock feathers,wild honey and gathered twigs with a ink duster coloured background. Stencil used are clockwork  and faded dots.Tissue tape along the bottom then various stamps by Tim and a couple of pen nibs.

Abstract

Here is a page for the theme abstract which is over at Mix It Monthly  this month.I started with DI inks to make a background.I then stamped the Paperartsy flowers and butterflies which I then coloured in with pencils.Then went over the top with some stencils I particular like the arches one.Bird is a Tim Holtz stamp which I cut out so he is standing on the wall.
